College Division

Covington Schools offer the following degree programs to those who are high school graduates and desire to seek a college degree. The student must maintain a "C" average and complete the requirements specified for each degree.

 

Associate in Sacred Literature (A.S.L.)

Covington offers this degree to those who desire to earn a two-year degree. It is offered for successfully completing sixty-four semester hours. To enroll in this program, the applicant must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Transfer credits up to thirty-two hours may be accepted.

 

The student must complete the required hours from courses with designations of 100 through 300 (example: BI-235 Acts) from those departments of study offering those courses.

 

Associate in Religious Education (A.R.E.)

Covington offers this degree for those who desire to earn a two-year degree in Religious Education. This might include those who are interested in teaching in any church-school situation. This degree is offered for successfully completing sixty-four semester hours. To enroll in this program, the applicant must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Transfer credits up to thirty-two hours may be accepted.

 

The student must complete the required hours from courses with designations of 100 through 300 (example: BI-235 Acts) from those departments of study offering those courses.

 

Bachelor of Ministry (B. Min.)

To enroll in this program an applicant must have a high school diploma (or GED), and have graduated from Junior College or have an Associate Degree. Then one must complete sixty-four semester hours of work.

 

Bachelor of Religious Education (B.R.E.)

The candidates for this degree must meet the same requirements for the B.Min. degree, majoring in the field of Christian Education.

 

Bachelor of Theology (Th. B.)

The candidate for this degree must have a high school diploma (or GED) and have graduated from a Junior College or have an Associate Degree. The candidate must then complete sixty-four semester hours of work in the area of Bible and Theology.
